Training Workshops

In this session, we explore how learning comes alive when students are invited to question, create and experiment.

We’ll dig into what makes learning experiences truly RITCH while embracing the mindsets and habits of makers and problem-solvers.

Participants will experience the power of curiosity-driven STEM and gain practical strategies that they can apply directly to their classrooms.

Design Thinking is a powerful and authentic approach to inquiry learning that places great emphasis on empathy, creativity, agency and collaboration. When topics and units are taught through a Design Thinking framework, it adds tremendous value and depth to learning.

In this engaging workshop, participants experience each phase of the process for themselves and prepare to apply Design Thinking to their own classrooms.

This workshop is designed to help teachers and schools to leverage their iPads and realise the full, creative potential in these powerful devices.

With my guidance, interested participants can then complete the online course to receive official Apple Teacher recognition.

Thanks to a recent campaign, every primary school in the UK had the opportunity to register for a free BBC micro:bit class set.

The micro:bit is a powerful and versatile resource to elevate coding, physical computing and creativity. If you have them but you’re not sure what to do with them, this practical, hands-on workshop offers everything you need to know to get started!

Design thinking can help!

Empower your teams with a highly effective framework for exploring issues and developing solutions that actually work! The secret to design thinking is that it places customers at the heart of the process and is driven through empathy, creativity and collaboration. In this practical, fun and hands-on session, you and your colleagues will be guided through the process, ensuring that everyone develops a shared understanding of each important phase. You will leave the session with a sense of empowerment – excited and equipped to tackle the real world problems that you and your customers face.

Strong relationships are essential in any organisation. Not only do they support staff wellbeing and retention, they are the key that unlocks collaboration, trust and innovation.

STEM activities and team-building go hand in hand – this is as clear in adults as it is in children! They promote open dialogue, laughter, playfulness, active listening, cooperaton and a sense of shared success – all important ingredients of strong relationships.

In this playful workshop, participants are invited to enjoy my exciting range of STEM resources before diving into a series of collaborative STEM challenges. Throughout the session, we explore what it means to be part of an effective team and actively work on the desired attributes – we also have a lot of fun and laughter along the way!
