STEM Events
Imagine whole-school events that excite all stakeholders, unleash creativity, build capacity and – most importantly – lay the foundation for ongoing innovation! Ignite STEM in your school with a launchpad event!
All of the ideas below can be tailored to meet the needs of your school, context and goals.
Build, Code, Play! Robotics Day
Explore the exciting world of robotics in these action-packed workshops!
Students will work in teams to build robots using a range of parts, sensors, motors and electronics before coding them to perform tasks and complete challenges. Teams will then showcase their robots during a friendly competition.
This event will bring computing to life like never before – celebrating hands-on, collaborative and creative learning!
Game Lab: From Imagination to Realisation
Unlock endless possibilities for storytelling, creativity and computer science with Game Lab!
In these workshops, students will learn about game mechanics, character development and coding concepts – bringing their ideas to life in their very own playable video games!
Furthermore, students will apply their understanding of materials and conductivity to create working video game controllers. Game Lab is guaranteed to blow minds and leave students wanting more!
Launchpad STEM Shows
Code and Create LIVE!
This interactive coding and robotics show brings computing to life through live demonstrations, audience participation and plenty of “wow” moments. Children will see how simple code can control lights, sounds, games and even real-world objects – exploring key ideas such as algorithms, sequencing and debugging.
With strong links to Science, Maths and Computing, the session highlights creativity, problem-solving, logical thinking and collaboration – key skills that are valuable across all areas of learning. Designed for Key Stage 2 pupils, the show aims to inspire curiosity about how technology works and to help children see themselves as inventors of the future!

TESTIMONIAL
Adam Hill has worked with the children at Story Wood School on two separate occasions over the past year, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. From initial communication to final delivery, Adam is incredibly well-organised, thoughtful in his planning, and a pleasure to work with.
He has a brilliant manner with the children and is able to engage them in meaningful, hands-on STEM learning that not only captures their interest but deepens their understanding. Adam has a natural ability to elevate STEM education beyond the expected, making it both exciting and accessible for all learners.
His sessions have had a lasting impact on our pupils, sparking curiosity and enthusiasm for STEM subjects. We would welcome him back without hesitation and wholeheartedly recommend him to any school or organisation looking to enrich their STEM provision.
